Bulk sales that put your prices back
Take a percentage or a fixed amount off whole collections, tags or vendors for a set time. Shoppers see the old price crossed out, and when the sale ends every price goes back to what it was.

How a sale runs
-
Choose what’s on sale
Pick products one by one, or a whole collection, tag, vendor or product type, and leave out any products you want to keep at full price.
- The form counts the products and variants as you choose
- Products added to a targeted collection or tag after the sale starts are picked up within a few minutes
-
Set the discount
A percentage or a fixed amount off. The old price becomes the compare-at price, so your theme shows it crossed out.
- Round every new price to an ending such as .99 or .95
- Products that already have a compare-at price are flagged before you start, and you choose whether to include them
-
Schedule it
Start straight away or at a set time, and add an end time. Times are in your store’s own time zone.
- The sale starts within a couple of minutes of its start time
- Large catalogues are updated in batches of 50 products every couple of minutes
-
Prices go back on their own
At the end time every price and compare-at price returns to exactly what it was before the sale. You can also end a sale early with one button.
- The campaign page lists every variant: changed, skipped and why, and restored
- While the sale runs, each variant’s original price is also saved on the product itself
Questions about bulk sales
What if a product is already reduced?
If a variant already has a compare-at price, the sale leaves it alone by default, so you don’t cut a price that’s already cut. The form tells you how many variants that affects before you create the sale, and you can tick a box to include them. They then get the discount off their current price and keep their existing compare-at price.
What happens if I uninstall during a sale?
Shopify stops the app changing your prices once it’s uninstalled, so end any running sale first and the app will put everything back. If a sale is still running when you uninstall, each discounted variant keeps its original price in a metafield called behaviour_discounts.original_price, which you can see in the Shopify admin and use to set the prices back.
Can I run more than one sale at once?
Yes, as long as they don’t cover the same products at the same time. The app checks for overlaps when you create a sale and tells you which product clashes.
How is this different from a discount code or an automatic discount?
A bulk sale changes the price itself, so the lower price shows everywhere your products appear: collection pages, search, product feeds and marketplaces that read your prices. Discount codes and automatic discounts only apply at checkout. The app does both, so use whichever suits the promotion.
